PRIMULA - Vialli.

Primula - Vialli. Probably better known as the pagoda primrose. It does have an oriental look to the flowers and is a stunning plant. It will form a clump over a few years which can be divided after flowering.
The flowers are unusual conical spikes of funneled violet-purple that open from deep red buds, very unusual in appearance. Stems can be from 30 cms. to 50 cms.tall. Likes a moist shady position but can do well in well-drained soil in a cool situation.
Flowering May - June. 50 cms.x 50 cms.
