Heritage Collection of Heuchera
This is a collection of some of the rare Heucheras (or rarely offered) that we have in our National Collection Some are the species and what have been used to create the many different varieties that you see today. There are many different species and cultivars but as new cultivars are launched older ones disapear which is a great shame as some are very pretty in different ways. Many are only available in small quantities as most have to be propagated in the traditional way and this is much slower than the modern method of micro propagation. We have 230 varieties at the last count but I think soon it will be more ...we still have a way to go as I read somewhere that there are 777 varieties I think there could be more really but many will have been lost forever. We will keep up the search :-) Our National collection is available in list form on request also the National collection is available for you to visit along with our National collection of Heucherella. By appointment only We have two open weekends (see meet us at the shows for dates) when you can come along and see the Collections and purchase plants from our nursery (should you wish to) We have lots of Perennials and Heucheras Heucherellas and Tiarellas for sale. It is also a chance to see a specialist working nursery in all its stages from cutting to point of sale.
