Heuchera – planting time

This question was asked by
Gail H

Hi, I’m hoping to place an order shortly (when I decide exactly what I want!), can I plant them out as soon as I get them or do I need to wait for warmer weather?
Many thanks,
Gail

Hi Gail

We start shipping in March and continue through to end November.

You should be able to plant them out straight away.

Obviously, don’t plant if we’ve got snow and ice, but I doubt you would want to be in the garden in that sort of weather!

If I ever think anything is not right to plant straight away (when im packing the plants )
I usually add a note that says keep in pot for a couple more weeks.
That’s not very often, though.

So hope that helps

Thank you for my recent delivery. They all look lovely but my plants already in the garden look very sad. What can I do at this time of year to cheer them up ?
Regards,
Morene

Hi Morene
Thanks for the feed back pleased your a happy customer 😀
The ones in the garden, check they are not too wet, they don’t like being too wet.
Otherwise wait until they wake up. (When they start with new growth in the middle.)
Once the cold has gone, tidy the tatty leaves and give them a feed in late march  beginning of April.
We will have the Heuchera feed in soon.
Hope that helps

Are you on the news letter?
